Contemporary Worship Leader (Part-Time)
The primary responsibility of the contemporary worship leader is to lead the musical elements of the
contemporary service. This person is directly accountable to the Senior Pastor. The contemporary worship leader will possess a musical skill set and leadership capabilities, which will enable a worship team to lead meaningful worship with excellence.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Keep a God centered life by continuing to grow as a christian. Demonstrate leadership in being able to disciple to the people within the worship team.
2. Supply the conditions for a wonderful worship experience for the congregation.
3. Weekly planning of the 5-6 songs used in the 11 AM contemporary service. Songs are coordinated
with the weekly message.
4. Research and learn modern worship songs to add to our services.
5. Maintain a library of praise and worship songs for future services
.
6. Print new music lead sheets from CCLI Song Select. Format the sheets for the arrangement
needed.
7. Enter the new lyrics in the presentation software (Media Shout) to use with the projectors.
8. Lead worship with a strong vocal presence with a lead chordal instrument (guitar and/or keyboard.) Ability to lead with piano accompaniment is necessary.
9. Worship leader rehearsal time to learn or review the current songs for Sunday.
10. Create guide tracks to communicate the form and style of the arrangement needed.
11. Hold a rehearsal with the Worship Team when available.
12. Attend a monthly staff meeting with the Senior Pastor, and participate in the planning and
implementation of church programs that will fulfill the mission and vision of the church.
13. Available for any other music duties that the Senior Pastor needs for Zion UMC.
14. Be open and available to help a congregant join the Worship Team to find the best fit for their God given talent.
15. The duties associated with this position will take no less than 10 and no more than 12 hours per
week.

LIVE-STREAM COORDINATOR
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: Live-Stream Coordinator will work behind the
scenes to make it possible to share the message of Zion Church with large groups
of people in the church and community through amplified sound, recordings,
and other forms of communication.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for technical functions of live-streaming onto Zion's YouTube
Channel and Zion's Facebook page and recording of service onto thumb drive for
upload onto website.
2. Monitor and record live-streaming of worship service (9:00 a.m.) on Sunday
mornings; or other services as requested.
3. Coordinate audio with live-streaming; work with volunteers
4. Assist running the sound board for the worship service, worship band, and
speakers; including the pastor.
5. Set-up microphones and all of the other necessary equipment and ensure that it
will run smoothly.
6. Ensures everything is ready to go prior to live-streaming and stays on-site
throughout the live-streaming to make sure everything stays in position and can
make required camera movement to appropriate site during worship service; is
available to step in when and where needed to make live-streaming function
properly.
7. Upload 9:00 service recording onto the church website by early Sunday
afternoon. Zion Communication Director will add pertinent information and
service graphic to the upload.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB: Strong technical background and good
leadership and communication skills. Sound experience preferred.
